SARAH reveals how she really felt about Duchess Camilla missing Eugenie's royal wedding
The Duchess of York reveals she loves watching *this* on TV with a telling social media post
The Duchess of York is no longer an official member of the royal family - which means that she is able to share more behind-the-scenes snippets of her private life with fans than the likes of Prince Harry, or the Duchess of Cambridge.
And Sarah, 58, regularly shares snapshots of her life via her social media profiles – much like her daughter, Princess Eugenie.
On Thursday, Prince Andrew’s ex-wife revealed to her 87,000 followers, that she is, surprisingly, loving this TV event – the current World Cup matches.
She shared that she is a big football fan – and is following the current tournament with huge excitement.
Posting about the much-discussed England vs. Colombia game on Tuesday night, Fergie shared her congraulations to the England team – who have made it through to the final eight of the tournament.
She wrote, ‘Huge congratulations to the @england team for their victory last night and particularly to @jpickford1 for saving those penalties.
‘We are all behind you and good luck on Saturday #worldcup2019 #sport #football #threelions @harrykane @fifaworldcup’.
Fans of the Duchess’ couldn’t agree more, with one commenting on the post, ‘Well said 👏👏👏👏’.
Another also said, ‘Omg that was so exciting! Bring on the next one!’
Fergie’s daughter, Princess Eugenie, also echoed her mother’s sentiments, with a post on her social media too.
Revealing that she is also a football fan, the Princess shared a tounge-in-cheek meme, showing her support for the England team.
She captioned the posts with the hashtags, ‘#football #threelions #worldcup2018’
It’s perhaps unsurprising that official, and unofficial, members of the royal family, have been so vocal in sharing their praise for the English football team.
‘The Firm’ will often share their support when it comes to big, national events – and the current World Cup has certainly joined the UK in celebration.
Prince William, patron of the Football Association (FA), also revealed his excitement over England’s winning game.
He wrote a rare personal post on the official Kensington Palace Twitter account, signing the message off with ‘W’.
